Appearance:

Belinda normally wears dresses. She feels classier (at least in her mind) and more sophisticated when wearing them. The dresses tend to be modest and darker in color. Belinda is NOT one to show more screen than needed. She has a naturally lean figure as well.

Belinda has long jet blonde hair. She normally keeps it flowing free, but when she's working, she keeps it tied back into a tight bun to keep hair from falling into her face. She normally keeps her nails short and rarely painted, due to her occupation's ethics.

When working, Belinda wears teal-green scrubs for a short sleeve shirt and long pants. Her feet are covered by white tennish shoes with white laces. She wears a long sleeve white lab coat over the scrubs as well, to cover up her snake tattoo.

Powers:

Bone manipulate-Belinda has the ability to manipulate the bone density of her bones. Her body has adapted to her mutation as well, so she can freely spring bones from her own body without risk of damaging the tissues while using her bones. Since Belinda can manipulate her bone's movements and density, she can take a great deal of physical damage. Her bones do NOT protect her against elemental damage. Belinda can manipulate her appendages or her trunk at once, but she can't manipulate both at the same time. Her bones have the ability to be as dense as steal with this ability as well.

Skeleton Manipulation-Belinda has the ability to manipulate skeletons. Skeletons must belong to a dead body, they can not be manipulate if inside a live body. Belinda most often uses this ability so she can literally digest the bones. The most she can manipulate at once is four human, average, full length male skeletons at once. The skeletons however are just that, just a set of bones. While Belinda can manipulate the movement of them, this by no means makes them a fighting tool. They're as frail as bones regular are. The bones are strictly human bones.

Weaknesses:

Heart of Gold
Belinda has a heart of gold for just about everyone. She is sometimes too willing to forgive someone and give them another chance. Belinda knows this is often her downfall, often "feeling" too much or "being too nice" as many put it.

Weak Calcium
Due to her mutation, Belinda needs a good flow of calcium. When she doesn't get it from pills, she gets it from the bones she finds and consumes.

Poor physical strength
Belinda is built for speed, not physical power. Her physical strength isn't amazing by any means, but she does have good precision abilities.

Insomniac
Belinda works the night shift at the local hospital, making her an insomniac. She tries to sleep during the day but she often finds it difficult to, due to the stress that's built up in her life.

Heart over mind
Belinda will sometimes think with her heart and not her mind. She knows this can be a fatal mistake when dealing with patients, but she does her best to do what she believes is best.

Getting to the Root of the Problem

Personality:

Belinda is a kind and caring person. She always wants to do what is best. She would rather think what's best for people before thinking negative thoughts about them. Belinda truly does care for her friends and family, wanting to do all in her power to make sure they're healthy and happy.

Belinda is a pacifistic. She hates fighting, due to what's happened in her past. She lost her beloved due to a crazed mutant. Her child was cradle robbed from her. Belinda still fruitlessly hopes to find her daughter, but knows the chances now are slim to none.

Background:

Belinda was born to an average family in Baltimore, MD. Her mother was a registered nurse and her father was a business consultant. Everything was pretty average and simple throughout her younger life. Belinda was always fascinated by the human body and physiology. She knew since a young age she wanted to go into the medical field.

Belinda had a good social life. She wasn't the type to think the more friends the merrier, but she did befriend others without too much trouble. She always treasured their friendship and did her best to keep the feelings positive and pleasant. With teacher relationships, she at least tried to keep things in a positive light. Belinda's favorite subject in school was life science, her least favorite being history.

Belinda discovered her ability when she was thirteen years old. She was playing with her friends in her friend's house at a sleep over when she was accidentally knocked down the stairs. Belinda lost her balance and had a rough fall. Belinda broke two of her ribs and severely hurt her leg. Her friends called the hospital and Belinda was taken to the hospital, getting X-rays and checking to see if there was any other damage besides the broken ribs. To the amazement of the hospital staff, Belinda's ribs were already partially healed. Belinda was curious, knowing the human body couldn't possibly heal that quickly.

Belinda guessed her body did something instinctively, shifting the bones around or SOMETHING to make the damage not as bad. Belinda didn't know what exactly happened, but she guessed she wasn't exactly completely 100% "normal" as she put it.

Belinda managed to finish high school with roughly a 3.4 GPA on a 4.0 scale. She never got herself in a relationship, wanting to put her focus strictly on school. She applied to New York Medical College and got in. She met her beloved her, his name was Lupen. Lupen was an intelligent young man who was working to become a doctor. The two started dating when Belinda was a sophomore in college and he was a junior.

Once Belinda graduated from college, she went to med school. She married Lupen as well. The two decided to wait on having kids, not wanting to start a family until they were both done with their schooling. Belinda decided to dedicate herself to becoming a trauma surgeon, wanting to help those who were in immediate need of life or death type help.

Once completing med school, Belinda went on to her three years of residency before finishing her schooling with three years of specialty. Belinda was so relieved to finally get all the accommodations and education she needed to be a fully recognized trauma surgeon. Throughout her time of dedicating herself to her studies, Belinda had little to no time to focus on other things, knowing she needed to completely dedicate to her studies. She did have a few 'minor' episodes of her bones shifting out of place temporarily, but she managed to put them back because of her abilities. She kept her ability a secret from her husband, afraid of how he might react to her not being completely "human" as she put it.

Belinda knew it would be a little risky to have children, but she still wanted at least one child of her own. Lupen agreed, as long as they'd be careful about it. Belinda got pregnant and gave birth thirty-three years old. Her baby was named Lilly, after Belinda's favorite flower.

Belinda worked the night shift at the hospital, Lupen worked the day shift. This way they could take turns looking after their baby. Belinda cared deeply for her baby.Tragedy struck the family one year after the birth of Lily.

Lily was cradle robbed. Lupen and Belinda don't know how, but it happened. Belinda was horrified. She took a temporary leave from work, knowing her intense emotions would not be suited to the work she did. She tried so hard to find her child, but all was in vain. A few months later, a crazed mutant killed her beloved Lupen. Belinda was crushed. Her own family was ripped away from her. Her parents moved closer to her, feeling as though she needed the comfort. Belinda was distraught, finding herself being drawn more and more to graveyards because of the recent horrid events in her life. This is how Belinda discovered her minor ability of skeletal manipulation. She doesn't remember how exactly it started, but she began to consume human bones. Belinda guessed due to the large emotional and mental toll the death and kidnapping took on her body; it caused her calcium levels to drop. Belinda was also an older woman at this point in her life, where her body would start to not function as efficiently as it used to.

It took a few years, but Belinda slowly pulled herself back together. She didn't stop working, knowing that working helped keep her mind focused and away from the pain. Belinda currently lives her life working towards finding her child, Lily. She keeps herself focused on her job to numb the pain as well. She occasionally feels on the human bone, knowing the calcium inside the bone helps fuel her own body. The bone is absorbed into her own body, a side affect of her bone manipulation.

Bones gave a heavy sigh as she pulled the car to a stop. She got outside of the car, locking it before walking over to the door of her garage, opening it. She looked around the dark house for a moment, before flicking on the lights. She walked over to her couch and practically fell down on it.

Belinda closed her eyes, listening to the dead silence of the house. This home.....it used to be filled with so much life. Her little Lilly attempting to make words and her beloved Lupen, giving her a kiss when she got home and asking how her day went. Belinda felt her face tear up. No......stop She tried to command herself as she opened her eyes. Belinda sat up, wrapping ehr arms under her breast for a moment. She breathed in deeply before slowly getting to her feet.

The older blonde woman headed upstairs, peeling off her black, long sleeve jacket She smiled faintly down at her tattoo for a moment before going inside of her bedroom and stripped down before pulling on a light gray robe and walking over to the shower. She turned the knobs, getting it to a nice, warm temperature before slipping out of her robe and stepping under the warm water.

Belinda gave a heavy sigh as she stood under the warm water, feeling it cascade down her body. The warm flicks of water felt good on her weary body. It was an average day in the ER. As much as "average" could be said for the ER. Bones shook her head at the thought as she washed her body. At least in the shower, no one else could see the tears that still fell.

Okay Kuma, forgive the horrible pun, but you do meet the bare bones requirement for our profiles as far as length requirements. However, there's still a few critiques I have to point out before I feel comfortable giving out an approval.

Appearance: You go mostly into her clothing, but besides what I imagine is the woman in your avatar and signature, there is little else we know about Bones for how she looks. She's an older woman, but what about how she wears her hair? what types of expressions does she more often wear? Go into detail, as we want a clear picture of how she looks. And yes, pictures are allowed to help.

Powers: Okay, so she can manipulate bones. Cool, but how much can she manipulate at one time? Can she give herself an exo-skeleton? grow extra bones? Also, with the manipulation of skeletons, are we talking that she could basically make a dead body like a puppet for a time? What's more, to combine with your History a bit more, you go into the first time her powers manifest and she uses them with the broken ribs, but did she do anything else beyond that? How did she discover she could manipulate bones of the dead? And that eating them could help bring back her calcium levels? Also, any bones or just human bones?

Other: Just kinda watch punctuation and lack of capitalization. I noticed one or two errors in tense and at least one run-on sentence.

Fix these and I'll check again. Other mods or admins might have more to say as well though, so be warned.

I agree with everything Aaron said. A little more detail on her appearance and powers would be nice. Additionally, if she actually does eat bones, that should be listed as an additional power. Very few creatures (Hyenas are a wonderful exception) can actually eat and digest bone.

Although this is a pretty minor point, I also noticed that you misused ellipsis twice in the Sample RP. Just be careful about their use in the future.
