Appearance:
Wesley is 6'1" with dark brown hair and brown eyes. His hair is often styled in a messy, just had sex way. He sometimes wears glasses, especially when he's reading and researching but often forgets/loses them, so he rarely wears them outside his office. He's of average weight, but looks to be on the skinny side since he doesn't exactly have the healthiest eating habits. He likes to wear pinstriped suits, especially brown ones, and will pair them with a brown trenchcoat.
*Uniform:
A brown pinstriped suit with glasses (when he remembers where they are). When he goes outside, he'll wear a brown trenchcoat. Occasionally he'll wear an all-black, form-fitting SHIELD suit. However, he thinks it looks better on his husband
Power Corrupts Absolutely
Power Origin: Mutant
Powers:
Laser shooting--Can create lasers, of the heat variety, and shoot them out of any part of the body. This includes eyes, hands, mouth, feet, and the arse. Useful for some experiments but it can make things extremely awkward. The lasers can either be large, thick, small, or thin. The lasers take on a bright red color, like you usually see in sci-fi movies.
Weaknesses:
Wesley's powers are difficult to control at times, despite his experience and especially when he's distracted. He's distracted a lot, usually by thoughts of his husband or by trying to figure out where the nearest cup of coffee is.
His lasers are difficult to aim if he's using body-parts other than his hands to aim them, but he can usually get it in the general direction. Just don't hope for pinpoint accuracy.
His lasers are also useless for simple tasks, like heating up coffee. The last time Wesley tried, the cup exploded and he had to redo his paperwork. It was a pain.
Also, when he's startled, lasers tend to come out of awkward places. He's learned that the hard way. People should learn to not knock on the door when he's on the loo. It's an awkward situation to put someone in and he honestly hates having to replace toilets as much as he does. Sooner or later the people who work at the store will begin to recognize him.
The coffee addiction. Don't try to talk to him without at least one cup in his system. Two or three is preferable. It's what keeps him up on the nights he's researching and it's usually what the stains are on his paperwork.
Getting to the Root of the Problem
Personality:
Wesley is very disorganized. Just look at his desk. He tends to jump from idea to idea and often trails off in mid-sentence when he talks. When he gets a great idea, especially one relating to his work, almost nothing can pry him away from that idea. Despite being disorganized, Wes is very good at remembering important facts, such as birthdays, anniversaries, equations, calculations, how many cups of coffee he's had, and that his husband enjoys seeing him in his form-fitting SHIELD suit.
Wesley is very friendly but he prefers to be quiet and listen and think. He doesn't particularly like it when people interrupt him in mid-thought or when they don't understand what he's saying--which happens a lot, when he talks about his research and nuclear physics to every day people. The best way to make friends with Wesley is to bring him a cup of coffee. When he gets frustrated, either at a person or at his work, he likes to throw things. He especially likes throwing gavels at people and slamming them on his desk. Also, when he gets excited, or passionate, or frustrated, his Scottish brogue becomes thicker, making it harder to understand him.

- Husband: Neil Marshall-Timlin
- Children (the corgis): Fara and Cabal
Background:
Wesley was born on the roadside, on the way to the hospital. His father wasn't too happy about the stains in the car and the police weren't too happy with the fact that there was a woman giving birth in plain sight, but it wasn't exactly something that could be controlled. For the record, Wesley wasn't exactly thrilled about sitting in the backseat of the car for the first ten years of his life, seeing the proof of his creation and birth. Oh, yeah. He was also conceived in the backseat of that car as well. He was thrilled when they got rid of that vehicle.
From the time he could talk, Wesley showed interest in science. He loved experimenting, seeing how fast things could travel, and trying to see how high he could drop eggs in certain containers without breaking them.
When Wesley turned five, his baby brother was born. Luckily, his brother was born in a hospital and he got to stay with the neighbors during the process. He was excited to have a baby brother to play with but was very disappointed when his parents informed him he couldn't use his brother for scientific experiments.
The years passed. Wesley started school. He never missed a day, mainly because his father refused to let him stay home unless he was vomiting up blood or on his deathbed. The same went for his brother Gaven once he was old enough to start school. In school, science remained his favorite subject. His second favorite subject was mathematics. He didn't see the point of certain subjects, like physical education. Wes managed to get excellent marks in everything but physical education.
Wesley's coffee addiction started in primary school. He went through a phase where he wanted to be exactly like his father, which included drinking coffee. Wes took great joy whenever he grew, proving his mother wrong (she said that coffee would stunt his growth). He eventually grew to be the tallest member in his family.
Even as a child, Wesley was incredibly disorganized. He was always losing and misplacing his belongings, especially if they were in paper form.
When Wesley was around 16, he woke up one day with a weird feeling in his backside. He didn't know what it was until he had his first cup of coffee and had to use the bathroom. Wes pulled down his pants, sat down, saw a flash of orange light, and the toilet cracked, spilling everything inside on the floor. As Wes caught himself and turned to examine the damage, the laser coming out of his arse caught the mirror, cracking it, and singed the door. All in all, it was vey awkward to explain to his parents. His mother was shocked at first and wanted to take him to the nearest church while his father was interested in doing a few experiments.
Wesley stayed home for the next few days (because it was a school vacation) and helped his father with the experiments, which resulted in him gaining some control over his powers. Once the school vacation was over, Wesley went back to school. In the rest of his secondary school career, there were a few awkward incidents with his lasers but nothing was destroyed--much. It was also around the same time when Wesley realized that he was interested more in boys, not girls, though he didn't admit that to anyone.
After graduating from secondary school, Wesley was encouraged to go the university. He greatly enjoyed the university because there was a great variety of science classes to choose from and there were more guys to attract his attention. He never dated in university but that didn't stop him from looking. Eventually, Wesley figured out which branches of science he was the most interested in and ended up graduating with a degree in physics. Later, when he went back for his Masters and Doctorate, he narrowed that field down to nuclear physics.
It was when he was getting his degrees that his bad habits began to form. By this point, he needed a cup of coffee to function in the morning and he often pulled late nights, resulting in another three or four cups at two or three in the early mornings. When he was working on an experiment or writing a paper or researching, he often secluded himself in the room/lab/office and didn't eat regular meals. Instead, he would snack on things like potato chips, cheetos, biscuits, and American peanut butter.
After getting his doctorate degree, Wesley looked for permanent employment and ended up working for the government as a researcher and consultant. Occasionally he would be given top secret work but it wasn't very often. On one such mission, he met Neil Marshall. He was thirty-seven at the time. They hit it off immediately but had to keep it secret until the mission was finished. A year later, Wesley adopted two corgis (Fara and Cabal), which worked out well since Neil liked dogs. One more year later and Wesley was engaged to Neil. After a small wedding and a interesting honeymoon in Brazil involving a terrorist cell, it was back to work as normal. It never bothered Wesley that his husband was an assassin, spy, and smuggler. After all, he was sometimes the accomplice and accessory to the crime.
A few years later, when Neil was reassigned to the USA, Wesley followed his husband across the pond and became a researcher for SHIELD. He sometimes drives his co-workers insane with how disorganized he is but doesn't feel like changing the way he works. All that matters is getting the job done, after all.
