Power Corrupts Absolutely
Power Origin: Serum
Powers: Nick Fury took a serum that was a sample of the lost super soldier serum that created Capt. America. This serum slowly retards Fury's aging process. Nick Fury also has the looks and fitness of a man half his age.
Weaknesses: Nick Fury is weak to the allures of well made cigars and scotch. He will also die from old age but that will take a long time. Fury's left eye is 95% blind though no one would ever know because Fury is a damn fine shot and can and will outshoot anyone, well except maybe Hawkeye at archery. Nick is very well protected but if someone shoots him and his armor fails he will die. Fury is also susceptible to telepaths if they can get through his mental training.
Getting to the Root of the Problem
Personality: Nick Fury is a calculating bastard that likes everything done by the book. He is very meticulous and has a place for everything and everything is in its place. If something goes wrong the man will keep a cool head and figure out the problem, however, once he learns who's responsible for the incident they will be punished severely such as Loki or Deadpool sitting. If they really fucked-up then they get keel-hauled after the Helicarrier sits in the water for a month.
Nick Fury's outlook on life is very cynical. He has a dark sense of humor and rarely laughs. If he does laugh watch out someone might be in a lot of trouble. He doesn't take no for an answer, and if someone refuses an order Fury will push the person into the mission area without support, and they usually learn their lesson after that.
Family:
- Katherine Fury (deceased)
- Jack Fury (deceased)
- Dawn Fury (deceased), Mikel Fury (active and is known as Scorpio)
Background: Nick Fury grew up in New York City during the Great Depression, in Hell’s Kitchen. He lived with his mother and father until his mother’s early death when Nick was still just a boy. Jack Fury then remarried and Nick lived with his step-mother for quite some time. Unfortunately during this time, Nick’s Father, Jack Fury, died and it was up to Nick and his step-mother to take care of Dawn and Jacob. When Nick Fury got older he started to box and joined the Police Athletic League, where he became one of its top marksmen. He also met his long time friend, Red Hargrove, who Nick had to keep out of trouble; they even joined the army together.
The two friends joined the army in 1941, so they could have jobs in this troubled time in American history. The only time these two were apart was for the nine weeks of basic training, and then they both got stationed at Pearl Harbor. After a few months of paradise the unthinkable happened, the base was attacked by Japanese warplanes. Though the two tried to stay alive during the attack and fight back, Nick Fury was the one to survive. This spurned Fury to take greater risks in the war as a way of grieving for his lost friend, causing him to join the rangers. After joining the rangers he met Captain Sawyer and someone who would stand by Nick Fury for most of Fury’s life, Timothy “Dum Dum” Dugan. Along with some others this made up the ranger team called the Howling Commandos, this team went on some of the most dangerous missions in both the European and Japanese fronts of WWII. When in England Nick Fury fell in love with a nurse named Pamela Hawley, the two went on quite a few dates and Fury was about to ask her to marry him, but, lost the chance when she died in a bombing raid over England. Near the end of the war Nick was hurt by a land mine in France, while he was recovering he received a dose of the Infinity Formula. This lead Fury to join the CIA, so that he can pay for another thirty years of the formula so that he doesn’t have to bear any side-effects, in his case would be accelerated death and after a grenade exploded and injured his eye during the war he started to wear his signature eye patch. After working for the CIA Fury got his permanent position as director of SHEILD.
After accepting the position, Fury made SHEILD the world’s foremost intelligence agency and extended SHEILD’s reach all over the globe. At this time it was Fury’s job to follow orders from twelve people, all of whom have their faces hidden when they speak with Fury. After a few years of hunting down HYDRA, SHEILD’s arch-nemesis, it turns out that both SHEILD and HYDRA are being controlled by Life Model Decoy. This made Fury, decide to hide underground until he could figure everything out and make a plan to strike back. He was able to successfully retake SHEILD.
Now Nicholas Fury is the sole director of SHEILD and is looking to keep it that way, by keeping SHEILD just large enough so that he can know everything that goes on in the world but streamlined enough so that in case of an emergency, Fury can still, by himself, give orders to everyone under him and he knows that they will follow them to the letter. He is trying to recruit more mutants, that way he has mutants that are outside the United States’ control and under his, without resorting to neural collars or something of the like, and to give his operatives training so they can resist some telepathic abilities.

To Meet Expectations
RP sample: Nick Fury was with the rest of his company the “Howling commandos” were digging foxholes in a heavy rain storm at night, they were seventy-five miles behind enemy lines. Their target was the factories in Nuremburg, where the Nazi’s were building tanks and planes. So far the execution of the plan was flawless they didn’t run into any patrols and have been able to move faster than was expected. They were about another fifty miles outside the city and were hunkering down for the night. Fury took first and last watch, his first few hours keeping an eye out for enemy patrols, abrupt changes in the weather that might signify that the weather was going to get worse and they would have to find shelter. After a while the night cleared, and Fury didn’t see anything that would raise any alarms. With that Nick woke up Dugan for he had the second watch. After about four hours, Fury was woken up, so he could take the last watch. During which a small German patrol was walking around, Fury quietly woke up the rest of the commandos. They then surrounded the patrol, and all fired between one or two shots each, execution style so the patrol was ended quickly. After the firefight the commandos decided that it would be best for them to get going and cover more ground.
The rest of the way there went smoothly, they had just reached the city entrance when Fury had an idea, “Hey, we should sneak around and steal some German uniforms and weapons, make sure they’re from SS agents that way no one should bother us when we make our way into the factories and if we set the bombs right we should be out of the city by the time everything blows up.” They did just that, all the members of the ranger team, then donned the uniforms made sure all the insignia were in the right places and so that no one would seem out of place.
After a while, they got into the factories without too much of an issue once they had to stab a guy that was asking too many questions about what they were doing at the factory, they hid the body and besides once the bombs went off no one would care about a single dead German soldier. The setting of the bombs went easily enough, until a small squad of five soldiers spotted them and didn’t even bother asking questions they just started shouting and shooting. Fury was the quickest on the trigger and using his M1 Garand rifle shot off three bullets into two of the soldiers, they slumped to the ground. One of the Germans threw a grenade, but had “cooked” the grenade too long and as such it exploded too early, though it didn’t kill anyone, this grenade threw a piece of shrapnel into Furys eye. Yelling in pain about his eye, Fury shot a few more times and yelled about hot the commandos should start retreating so that they aren’t caught in the blast radius. And, ran they did, stopping only a few times for only a second or two to shoot back at the Germans that were chasing them. When the bombs that Fury and his team left blew, the Germans stopped chasing so that they could do damage control and stop the fires from burning down the entire city.
The “Howling Commandos” later that night stopped so they could do an ammo check and take a closer look at Fury’s eye. The field medic that they had was able to successfully take out the shrapnel and saved the eye but said that Nick might have future eye problems. After a few weeks the team was able to cross into friendly territory and they called for a pick up back to base.
